Exercise02: Sky Jump

Agenda:

  • Step Through the GUI
  • review inputs and outputs
  • review encoding, when and why to use what encoder(s)
  • AE strength and weaknesses compared to Nuke

Exercise 02 Sky Jump:
First, review assets

Before we begin:

To do:
  • Animate the ground plane: wiggle(<frequency>,<amplitude>)
  • Animate footage of Jumper
    • Key out jumper & resolve blue spill
  • Create & animate clouds and atmos Effect->Noise->Turb. Noise
  • Unify the look via color correction.

On your own, suggestions:
  • Improve animation
  • Add/improve clouds
  • Add haze
  • Lens distortion
  • Color correction
  • Your own flare
Quicktime due at the beginning of next class:
  • 1920x1080
  • 24fps
  • H264
  • overlay frame count on bottom right corner
