Review Dates for Final Project

We will have 2 reviews of your work before you turn in a final:

  • This Friday, in 48 hours, at 6pm have your latest quicktime ready to go for review.
  • Your goal on Wed is to have your comp COMPLETE with only tiny tweaks to resolve.

Final DUE Friday March 22nd 6pm

Some options are short and require you to chose 2 for your final project.  You may comp in which ever package you prefer.

Mid-term Assignment:
Now complete an in car shot using 16bit footage



Look at real life reference to help you with lights and color, suggestion show: Top Gear.

Minimum Requirements (your to do list):

  • see BG out the window (many solutions are possible, might need to be creative recall all methods, keylight, matte choke, track matte etc)
  • add reflection in the window
  • color correct footage to match
  • adjust brightness/focus of BG (method used on sky replacement could be an option)
  • add camera shake for natural ride
  • Do your best to make us believe the shot is real!
  • Do you need to track/stabilize any footage?
Due first thing Wednesday.

Exercise02: Sky Jump

Exercise 02 Sky Jump:
First, review assets

  • Animate the ground plane: wiggle(<frequency>,<amplitude>)
  • Animate footage of Jumper
    • Key out jumper & resolve blue spill
  • Create & animate clouds and atmos Effect->Noise->Turb. Noise
  • Unify the look via color correction.
